Calvisson is located 18 kms south-west of Nîmes in the county of Gard. Grapes have been grown here since Roman times, with the vines ripening under the Mediterranean sun in the beautiful dry landscape of the Cevennes region. If you get lost on the road to Calvisson, don’t be surprised to meet a troupe of bulls, as you are in the heart of the Corida and Feria bull fighting region of France. Each year, some of the Calvisson wines are awarded stars in the “Guide Hachette des Vins”. The wine-making of these cuvées is supervised by Thibault Lavergne and all the wines below are un-oaked.
Vin de Pays d’Oc Sauvignon Blanc, Réserve Demelle 2014
Lively citrus, gooseberries and floral aromas allied to a leafy freshness. Very aromatic. Has been selected by the Head Sommelier of L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon.
